THE Boyd group of academics who perform research on animals this week joined animal welfare campaigners in calling for an end to using animals in testing cosmetics. But the cosmetics industry appears to be one step ahead - the Home Office has issued no new licences for cosmetics testing on animals since an industry-wide voluntary ban came into force eight months ago.
