LEEDS University has fallen foul of Quality Assurance Agency inspectors, who found "clear evidence that the university's own quality assurance arrangements had been ineffective". The QAA said the university had not properly consulted external examiners for degree courses in the department of communication and media studies. The courses will be re-assessed within a year.
