Southampton University is receiving Pounds 210,000 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to support its innovative MSc course in applied digital signal processing. Distance-learning is a key feature of the course. Developed in partnership with companies, the course provides advanced training for engineers and managers working in digital signal processing. Run by the university's institute of sound and vibration research, the first students started last January.
