Swedish prime minister Goran Persson has announced his cabinet following the general election. Former tax minister Thomas Ostros has succeeded Carl Tham as minister of education and science, while the relatively unknown MP Ingegerd Warnersson, a rector from Bastad in south-west Sweden replaces Ylva Johansson as schools minister.
Goran Persson wants to consolidate Sweden's leading position in information technology nation through keeping up its skills base.
