Paul Mackney, general secretary of university and college lecturers' union Natfhe, has called a meeting with higher and further education minister Tessa Blackstone to discuss a five-year dispute over FE contracts.
Results of a ballot on a proposed national framework for further education lecturers' terms and conditions, which would end the dispute, will be made known on Monday. But Mr Mackney has warned Baroness Blackstone that the agreement may be rejected because many lecturers considered the proposed teaching hours excessive.
