The Exxon Azerbaijan Operating Company, a subsidiary of the Exxon Corporation, has financed the publication of a new Azer-English dictionary, and is distributing free copies to all education institutions and libraries in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The dictionary gives the Azeri words in the Turkish form of the Roman alphabet - not the Cyrillic script used in the Soviet era.
