Enrolments to the Welsh further education sector have risen 75 per cent since 1992, the Further Education Funding Council for Wales's annual report says. Published this week, the report shows that 51 per cent of 16 to 18-year-olds now continue their education. The report also found that 95 per cent of colleges have "satisfactory" provision. But it warns that "any further efficiency squeezes would affect the sector's ability to continue to develop widening participation and lifelong learning initiatives".
