Half of work-based training providers have been criticised for "less than satisfactory provision" by the new Training Standards Council. An analysis of the TSC's first 100 inspection reports shows that more than a third of training organisations failed to reach a satisfactory standard in quality assurance. A quarter of providers had unsatisfactory management.
