Kirsti Koch Christensen has been elected rector of Bergen University. She is pro-rector of the university, professor at the university's department of linguistics and a member of the main board of the Norwegian Research Council. Kaare R. Norum succeeds Lucy Smith as rector of Oslo University, where he leads the institute of nutrition research at the faculty of medicine. Emil Spj?tvoll has been re-elected rector of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim. Tove Bull has been re-elected rector of Troms? University.
