Scotland's universities and colleges will have a key role to play in helping the new Scottish Parliament make decisions about the future of the country, the Committee of Scottish Higher Education Principals said this week. In a "position statement" on Scottish higher education and devolution, the committee said institutions would be able to research for their country's specific needs, making a major contribution to the formation of public policy.
