A team from the University of Kent will take the 1999 Faraday Lecture on a nine-week tour of 14 cities, telling the story of "The Digital World" to secondary school students and the public. The show, which kicks off in Canterbury on January 18, includes audiovisual and hands-on demonstrations. The Kent based company Electrosonic is providing a video wall based on silicon micro-mirror technology. The annual lecture is part of a drive by the Institution of Electrical Engineers to attract young people into engineering. Enquiries and ticket requests: 01438 767254.
