A sociology publication from the University of Surrey has won this year's Charlesworth Group Award for electronic journals. Sociological Research Online was praised for its "branding" and for other features including the index, search engine and pinboard. The journal was launched in March 1996 with assistance from the funding councils' Electronic Libraries programme.
