Surrey Institute of Art and Design has been given consent by the Privy Council to use the university college title. Six other higher education colleges gained the title: Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College, Canterbury Christ Church University College, University College Chichester, University College Northampton, University College Worcester, and Stranmillis University College in Belfast.
