Coventry University is hoping to lure more women to study science and technology by offering a free part-time course that could lead into a degree. The expenses-paid access programme offered by the University's school of natural and environmental sciences offers free childcare and travel and a fees waiver. Students do not need qualifications to enrol and can study at one of the university's partner further education colleges. The 18-month course is backed by a Pounds 387,000 European grant.
