A leading United States institution has presented the Wellcome Trust's Human Genome Project in Cambridgeshire with an award for its efforts in cataloguing the human body's 100,000 genes.
The Smithsonian Institution's 21st Century Pioneer Partnership Award has been awarded to the project for innovative use of IT to "bring about social change".
