Learning benefits from Investors In People

Investors in People UK, the business training standard set up in 1993, is playing an important role in supporting the government's National Learning Targets, according to a new review of its functions. The review stressed that the functions of the non-departmental public body should not be privatised. But it said the Department for Education and Employment should make the future role of IiPUK clearer. The report, carried out by the DFEE, said IiPUK was "one of the most successful government interventions in the training market in the past 20 or 30 years".
