Ivy League universities share the Oxbridge tendency to be rude about each other, and an example from the Princeton-educated F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Crack-up (published posthumously in 1945) provides sideswipe no 90: "Scratch a Yale man with both hands and you'll be lucky to find a coastguard. Usually you find nothing at all."
