* A transsexual nursing student at Dundee University is believed to have dropped out of her course after the National Board for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting for Scotland asked for her birth certificate.
Dundee's dean of nursing, Sally Glen, said the university was aware of Lynsay Watson's gender change. "She was not asked by the university to leave but chose to leave. We understand that this was due to the fact the NBS would not register her as a woman due to the fact that her birth certificate stated she had been born a man."
