Each of Denmark's 40,000 new higher education students will buy textbooks worth about DKr30,000 (Pounds 2,655) from bookshops owned by the students' associations during their studies. The 23 bookshops under the Campus Book Service umbrella account for 10 per cent of the turnover of Denmark's bookshops.
