Vice chancellors agog at the goings-on at Huddersfield may like to know that, if their aim in life is a good pay-off, they went into the wrong academically-related activity.
The American magazine Sports Illustrated reports that the University of Utah at Las Vegas has forked out $1.8m -- more than twice the amount initially offered by those generous folks in Huddersfield -- to get rid of an unsuccessful and unpopular basketball coach.
