DFEE is 'neglecting lifelong learning'

The Department for Education and Employment has been criticised for neglecting lifelong learning in its proposed research strategy. "We wish to register our strong surprise that the (DFEE's research) prospectus appears not to reflect the department's wider acknowledgement of the importance of lifelong learning," stated the Universities Association for Continuing Education's response to the DFEE consultation on its research strategy.
