The University of Sheffield website has been awarded top position in the Yorkshire Website Awards. The website, which serves information to users from 105 countries, took honours in the non-profit organisation category.
Christine Sexton, the university's director of corporate information and computing services, said: "Many thousands of people who will never visit Sheffield in person are 'virtual visitors' and gain a good impression of the city through the helfpul information, friendly tone and first-class research they find."
