Further facts

July 14, 2000

The Scottish Further Education Funding Council has launched a new online database, InFact, giving detailed information on student enrolments in Scotland's 47 further education colleges. It includes information on course types, student numbers and social inclusion data.

Users can choose how data is presented - for instance, by college or geographical area. The database can be accessed through the SFEFC's website, via the further education statistics section.

John Sizer, SFEFC's chief executive, said: "The new InFact service underlines the SFEFC's commitment to openness and transparency. It will benefit the further education sector with a range of information, as well as improving the quality of data that informs the council's policy formulation and funding decisions."
