Teachers working in Voluntary Services Overseas may soon be able to study for a masters degree at the same time, thanks to an initiative being piloted by Manchester Metropolitan University.
In a study funded by the Centre for British Teachers, 11 volunteers based in Africa have begun courses that will help build their professional skills and lead to a formal qualification.
