Chilean education minister Mariana Aylwin has told striking students at the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences that they will be moved to other universities if they do not return to lectures. The strike began at the end of April and was partly responsible for the government's decision to merge Metropolitan with the University of Chile, resulting in the resignation last month of Metropolitan rector Jesus Gonzalez.
