It could cost universities £250 million to comply with proposed disability and special educational needs legislation.
Baroness Warwick, chief executive of Universities UK (formerly the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals), told the House of Lords that the cost of complying with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Bill, announced in the Queen's Speech, could approach five times the £56 million quoted in the bill.
