Southampton University researchers have found evidence of near-death experiences after studies of 63 heart-attack survivors resuscitated after being declared clinically dead.
One in ten recalled emotions and visions during unconsciousness, which included feelings of peace and joy, time speeding up and encountering a mystical being or deceased relative.
The researchers hope to replicate their results nationwide to verify whether the mind continues to exist after the death of the body.
