Demand for HE almost static
Demand for university places is almost static, according to figures released today by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. Just 0.8 per cent more people had applied for a full-time higher education course by March 24 compared with a year ago.
Scots get £24m for careers guidance
Wendy Alexander, Scotland’s minister for enterprise and lifelong learning, has announced £24 million for projects aimed at creating a “one-stop shop” for careers advice to Scots of all ages.
Universities urged to take access advice
Universities are being urged to use the services of the Access Advisory Partnership to develop their widening participation strategies. The Standing Conference of Principals and Universities UK are promoting the service.
