Nine out of ten new universities - but fewer than half of the country's further education colleges - have created "green teams" to co-ordinate environmental activity. A survey by lecturers' union Natfhe shows that environmental mission statements have been issued by 82 per cent of new universities, 64 per cent of agricultural colleges and 45 per cent of FE colleges.
