The annual EPIDOS conference will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on 15 to 17 October, followed on 18 October by an 'epoline user day' event.
EPIDOS will be opened by Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, in the company of the President of the European patent office (EPO) and a representative of the Danish government. As well as discussing the proposals that the Danish Presidency will be making for patent protection, attendees will hear about training courses, new software packages, the redesigned EPO website and user needs.
As well as keynote speeches, there will be two workshops available and the international patent information award 2002 will be presented at a reception at Copenhagen city hall.
The day following the EPIDOS event, the epoline user day will show users how the EPO's electronic services. Tutors will be on hand to guide users around these services, which include online file inspection, online register and online filing.
