A conference on the theme of nanotechnologies will be held in Milan, Italy on 25 November.
The event will look at initiatives in the field of nanotechnology within the EU and abroad, and examine the most promising sectors of the industry where positive results are expected.
The status of Italian research will also be reviewed, and AIRI, the Italian association for industrial research, will present its new initiative, Nanotec IT.
Among the presentations at the event, Renzo Tomellini from the European Commission will outline the institution's strategies in the field of nanotechnology, Horst Weller from Hamburg University will look at the impact of nanotechnology on the future of energy research, and the conference will close with the screening of a Commission film on the subject.
