Finland is to host its first international biotechnology event, BioTech Helsinki 03, from 24 to 26 March 2003.
The conference will present the latest advances in life sciences research and development, and will investigate future trends and financing issues for topics such as:
- genomics;
- IT and biotechnology;
- bioethics;
- biomaterials;
- finance and business development.
Keynote speakers at the event will include Commissioner for Enterprise and Information Society, Erkki Liikanen, and Professor Ingo Potrykus from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
