Edinburgh tackles elitist image
Edinburgh University is combating its elitist image with a radical institution-wide admissions policy that will take into account more than examination results. There will be a universal minimum threshold of four B passes at Higher level or three at A level, but the process will also take into account personal qualities, school attended and social background.
