Ofsted uses inadequate methods of assessing the value of educating poorly qualified and disadvantaged students in its inspections of further education colleges, the Association of Colleges told MPs this week.
Colleges are marked down by inspectors who fail to consider what students who do not wish to attain a full qualification have gained, the AoC told the Commons education and skills select committee.
