Aberdeen unveils world first for philosophy
Aberdeen University has launched a new Centre for the Study of Scottish Philosophy, the first of its kind in the world. Its director, Gordon Graham, said: “Scottish philosophy is unequestionably the jewel in Scotland’s intellectual crown but surprisingly hitherto it has been more studied abroad than at home.”
RGU bags e-learning award
The Robert Gordon University is the first academic institution to be accredited by the British Association for Open Learning. Its virtual campus has won the BAOL quality mark which Judith Smith, director of the RGU department of e-learning, says will give it a competitive advantage over other e-learning course providers.
