Heidelberg molecular catalysis forum 2003

June 3, 2003

Brussels, 02 Jun 2003

The annual forum of molecular catalysis will take place on June, in Heidelberg, Germany.

Leading researchers in the field of molecular catalysis will present their work during a series of plenary sessions and lectures. Topics will focus on the following:

-discovering and understanding new transition metal-catalysed reactions;
-catalysis and polymerisation with nanoscale multiphase systems;
-privileged ligands, reactions and substrates in asymmetric catalysis;
-olefin polymerisations catalysed by late transition metal complexes: mechanistic and synthetic aspects.

The forum will also highlight the important role of the Rhine-Neckar region in promoting scientific research in this field and attracting young scientists from all over the world to the region: The BASF Catalysis Award of 10,000 euro will presented to most outstanding work by a young researcher at the forum.
