Glasgow Caledonian University, hoping to raise public awareness of the need to check for high blood pressure, found a suitable case for treatment in its publicity material - actor Richard Wilson, better known as the irascible Victor Meldrew, star of One Foot In the Grave. Headlines marking his visit to the university included "Victor's keeping cool under pressure" and "Keeping One's Foot From the Grave".
