Brussels, 03 Jul 2003
Two workshops on different aspects of participating in the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) - proposals writing and consortium agreements - will take place in Cambridge, UK, on 12 and 16 September respectively.
The workshop on proposal writing will explain how to present a research proposal to the Commission and its evaluators so that it addresses the evaluation criteria and meets the Commission's objectives. The workshop will consist of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions.
FP6 significantly increases the powers of research consortia. Budget transfers between partners, changes to the work plan, the addition of new partners and publishing calls for proposals can now be done by the consortium itself.
The workshop on consortium agreements will provide a detailed overview of the Commission's model contract and its implications for consortium agreements. It will include an introduction to the framework for decision making, and describe the options for dealing with intellectual property and financial management.
