Lecturer charged

A 32-year-old Oxford lecturer has been charged with the theft of a first edition book by Sir Isaac Newton from the Christ Church College library. The book, which dates back to 1687, is believed to be valued in excess of Pounds 67,000. The man has been released on police bail and is due to appear before Oxford city magistrates on July 4.
