Eighty per cent of employers of students from Scottish further education colleges consider them well-prepared for work, according to the first performance indicators from the Scottish Further Education Funding Council.
According to the survey, more than 90 per cent of students were satisfied with their college experience.
The indicators, which also revealed a 15 per cent increase in the amount of further education being delivered in Scotland, have been developed at the command of the Scottish Executive.
