Scotland's scientists have set up a scheme to give the Scottish Parliament rapid and independent expert information. More than 50 "topic coordinators", all fellows of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, will field inquiries forwarded through the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Scottish Parliament Information Service. They will then contact the most appropriate scientific expert.
