In last week's THES ("Contract sparks row over IP rights", page 8) we said that Richard Lambert was carrying out a review of Cambridge business links for the Treasury. In fact, his remit is to review links between business and the university sector overall.
Brunel University has not deployed a wireless network ( THES , September 19), but rather IP telephony networking technology from Cisco Systems. The secure networking system will allow the university to manage its telephone network, voice messaging and mail delivery needs across campus; it will not allow roaming networked laptop access.
