Kelly elected rector

Dundee University students have elected Lorraine Kelly, the GMTV presenter, as their rector. Ms Kelly will be their representative on the university court for the next three years. She beat David Shayler, the former MI5 officer, and Lesley Riddoch, the journalist and broadcaster. She succeeds comedian Fred MacAulay.
