Oxford University has cleared zoologist Tim Guilford of research misconduct after he was accused by researchers at the University of Zurich of failing to properly acknowledge their contribution to his work. Dr Guilford, reader in animal behaviour, reported that his team had discovered that racing pigeons used the road network to navigate, prompting claims that he had failed to properly acknowledge that the discovery had been made first by the Zurich team.
