Coventry University has announced that it will charge £3,000 a year for all its courses from 2006 to ensure that no courses are seen as more exclusive than others. Michael Goldstein, Coventry's vice-chancellor and a strident critic of the Government's policy on variable fees, said the university would offer generous scholarships and bursaries to the less well-off.
