Commonwealth officials in London are urgently seeking a member state to host the 2006 Commonwealth education ministers' conference after Malaysia withdrew its offer. Ministers are confident the meeting will take place as planned in the second half of 2006, when decisions will need to be made on initiatives such as a planned virtual university for small Commonwealth states.
