The future of the knowledge society

The Club of Amsterdam is organising an international conference 'The Summit for the Future 2005' to be held from 26 to 28 January in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The aim of the conference is to gain critical insight into, and a deeper understanding of, the issues that will shape the knowledge society.

Following various open plenary sessions, five workshops on five key knowledge streams will take place: trade and service industry; energy; healthcare; media and entertainment; science and technology.

The results of these workshops will then be discussed in the final plenary forum.
