A £4.5 million advertising campaign to explain the 2006 tuition fee and bursary changes to teenagers and their parents was due to be launched by the Government on Friday.
The campaign, backed by Universities UK, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service and the Standing Conference of Principals, will include direct mail, radio and print advertisements. Television advertising will begin in October.
Bill Rammell, the Higher Education Minister, said: "It is critical that we communicate the new system, and we'll be stepping up a gear once we've got through clearing this summer."
