Fees a 'deterrent'

More than a third of final-year undergraduates would not have applied to university if they had had to pay £3,000, a poll claims. The UK Graduate Careers Survey found 38 per cent of 16,452 students said fees would have put them off higher education. Nearly half of those intent on postgraduate education said they felt their degrees were "insufficient".
