The 2018 Times Higher Education Asia Universities Summit takes place in Shenzhen, China, from 5-7 February, and is hosted in partnership with SUSTech (Southern University of Science and Technology).
Chris Parr is joined by writers Jack Grove and Rachael Pells, editorial director for global rankings, Phil Baty, and head of content and engagement for the World Summit Series Tim Sowula. We also hear from Chunmiao Zheng, dean of the school of environmental science and engineering at SUSTech.
They discuss the rapid growth of Shenzhen as a city, China's increasing attractiveness as a research hub, and look at some of the highlights from the summit agenda.
